ONAZ Mission Statement
OUR MISSION
 
Obetz Church of The Nazarene exists:
To bring people to Jesus’ Way (membership),
To teach them His Word (maturity),
To involve them in His Work (local ministry),
and
Together reach His World (global missions).



OUR VISION
 
     God has called Obetz Church of the Nazarene
 to reach people of all ages with the Good News
of Jesus Christ.  We believe this call is to bring in
the harvest, which is all around us. (John 4:35)

     Through Christ we are able to offer hope,
help and healing to the hassled and hurting of
our area.  The focus of our ministries and outreach
locally is the South end of Columbus and the
communities in and around the southern outer
belt.  This focus area is a circle with a five-mile
radius centered at our property on Groveport
Road.  In a larger sense our vision is on a global
level. The thrust of our mission department is to
spread the Gospel all around
the world. (Mark 16:15)
 
We believe God has been hand selecting
and bringing together individuals for this very time
to accomplish this vision He has for us. Through
empowered leadership, gift-oriented ministry,
passionate spirituality, functional structures,
inspiring worship services, holistic small groups,
need-oriented evangelism and loving relationships
God will use us to “compel them to come in” and
then He will trust us to “make disciples” of them
by “teaching them” about Him. (Matthew 28:19-20)
 
Our goal is to see God glorified by having as
many lives changed families reconciled, and
communities transformed as possible. We want
to offer a place of refuge. We want to be a people
of redemption. We wantto make a difference.
